I have a confession to make: I am a procrastinator. While this term is frequently discussed these days, I believe it’s still misunderstood. Have you ever thought about what procrastination takes from our lives? If it gives us anything at all, it’s the time saved from never starting a project that would have been canceled anyway. But beyond that? Not much.

What it takes from us, however, is an endless list.

I’m 38 years old. Thousands of ideas and projects have crossed my mind over the years, but I’ve started very few, continued even fewer, and completed almost none of them.

Can you imagine what this has cost me? If I could see a detailed analysis of the time I’ve wasted, I’d probably cry too much to even read it. Where would I be now? What kind of life would I have?

Would I be wealthier or poorer? How many languages would I speak? What places would I have visited? What accomplishments would I have achieved, and what failures would I have learned from?

What about all those wasted hours? The time spent mindlessly scrolling through social media — what did it give me? What about the movies and series I’ve watched — what did they add to my life? Or the countless hours at work — were they truly…
